Trips and Events

We are planning several trips and events throughout the year to promote the learning themes of the team. Photo's and artefacts will be recorded here as the year progresses

Tuning in to Aotearoa New Zealand History 2023

We begin the year with an integrated inquiry about Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This will be the first unit of study from the new Aotearoa New Zealand Histories Curriculum.

As part of our swimming programme at the tepid baths, the Totara team learns Water Safety.

In 2022 we had a fabulous morning down at Herne Bay beach, observing the surroundings and discovering some wildlife. This trip was the inspiration for our inquiry into the Hauraki Gulf.
