Out of Zone
How to Enrol
Students who do not live within the home zone come under the out of zone enrolment scheme. A ballot is held in October each year, the date is set by the Ministry of Education for available places within the school. Ballot applications need to be in one week prior to the ballot date.
The date for the Ballot is set by the Ministry of Education to take place in October each year.
The 2022 Ballot was held on 19 October 2022. We are unable to accept any out of zone enrolments for the 2023 school year that were not in our 2022 Ballot.
Ballot applications for enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:
1st Priority: this is not applicable at our school because we do not run a special programme approved by the Secretary.
2nd Priority: must be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
3rd Priority: must be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
4th Priority: must be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.
5th Priority: must be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the Board or a child of a member of the Board of the school.
6th Priority: must be given to all other applicants.
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth or fifth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989.
Applicants seeking 2nd or 3rd priority status will be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.
