Costs
donations
Parent contributions are vital to support the rich educational opportunities at Bayfield School.
The school donation is not a fee and payment of it is not compulsory. However, parents are encouraged to make a donation to the school as it is a critical source of funding for the school. Our children have the benefit of resources, approaches and opportunities we can be very proud of. This is achieved through the support of our parents, reflected in time and money.
The Ministry of Education operations grant to the school does not cover all the actual costs incurred by the school in a number of areas (including staffing, resourcing costs for students requiring additional learning support, cleaning, caretaking and maintenance costs), and we do not receive any funding at all for our music teacher or librarian. Donations, fundraising and any other revenue raised are used to cover these costs. Currently we need to raise approximately $200,000 through donations and other fundraising to meet the costs of running the school that are not funded by the Ministry.

Full year donation $540
